Web site technicians and updaters
We have several websites that need maintaining and updating on a
regular basis. You must have a good working knowledge of web site
development; you will be responsible for keeping the technical side
of the site running smoothly including the maintenance and upgrades
when required. Good knowledge of at least one of the following is
essential to this position - content management systems, databases,
IPB, php, html and Photoshop (or similar artwork program)

Researchers
We are looking for people from around the world to research information
on BPD and other mental health disorders and issues so we can keep
the site as updated with all the latest developments and to arrange
interviews with different professionals in these fields. No formal
qualifications are needed for this post but you should be dedicated
and self motivated with good communication skills.
Fundraiser
As a fundraiser you should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have
good initiative. You will be contacting lots of companies from different
sources to get funds and sponsorship for BPDWORLD and generally promoting
the site.
Call handlers for the support line
We are looking for confident, enthusiastic and committed people in
the UK to answer calls from people with a wide range of problems,
many of whom may be distressed at the time of the call. You must have
completed at least a 10-week counselling course. (Courses can be arranged
through BPDWORLD, please speak to a member of the admin team for more
information) A landline is required for this position.
Online Support Workers
We are looking for confident, enthusiastic and committed people
from around the world (good written English is essential) with knowledge
and/or experience of mental health issues to offer support to our
online community. This is done through email, forums and live chat.
Forum Moderators
Help keep the peace on our very busy forums. Also
help out with info, advice and support.
General Assistants
No formal qualifications are required although as most of the users
of BPDWORLD are vulnerable people you must be caring and thoughtful
towards others; you should be enthusiastic and be able to work as
part of the team. You will be assisting in the day to day running
of BPDWORLD. You will do a wide variety of jobs, moderating the forums
and chat, finding mailing addresses, writing pieces of work for BPDWORLD. |
